Lymphedema question

Hello everyone. Recently had first mammogram post treatment (stage 1, SNB, no chemo, 15 rounds of radiotherapy) which was clear (got call on New Years Eve so VERY recent) I’ve been suffering from mild lymphoedema since finishing radiotherapy, have been to the specialist clinic, got the compression bras and been shown how to self massage.

My question is-has anyone else with lymphedema suffered from pain on the opposite side to the ‘affected’ area? my cancer was on my right but over the last week I’ve been getting a stingy twinge on the side of my left breast. It’s intermittent and not sore to the extent of needing painkillers.

When ive been taking my compression bra off recently my right boob (cancer boob) had been painful around the scar so I’m wondering if the bra doesn’t fit properly and is this causing the pain on the other side?

Obviously I’ve googled this and convinced myself I’ve either got secondary cancer to the skin or inflammatory BC (and yes I will accept a lecture for googling…).

I phoned my BC nurse and they said to speak to the lymphoedema nurse who is still to phone me back.
