Just bumping this up…
Hi Shazcm
I’m also bumping this up…
I’m not sure if you are asking is it excessive to have as many as 32 lymph nodes under your arm or if you are asking if 31 out of 32 with cancer is excessive. With regards to the number of lymph nodes, we all have different amounts. Even the books I have read differ. I have been told the average is between 20 and 30. I only had 19 (as told by my surgeon) 15 were cancerous. As far as the amount with cancer goes, again we are all different. Some people with large lymph node involvement can escape recurrence (keeping my fingers crossed) and some women go on and have secondaries without many lymph nodes involved - the cancer merely used the lymph system as a passageway to other places. I hope I have helped you a little.
Take care.

I’ve had 25 lymph nodes out under my right arm which was all they said they could find - and 24 of them had cancer.
I’m pleased to find other people in this position as I only know of people with 2 or 3 lymph nodes out. In times of emotion or worry I feel the lymph system on my left hurting - in sequence like a pinball hitting around my body.
