Two special events are taking place in Wrexham on Wednesday 10 June at the Nightingale House Hospice, Chester Road, LL11 2SJ.
The first session, from 10.00am to 12.00pm, will focus on Lymphoedema, a distressing side-effect which may develop after treatment for breast cancer. The interactive discussion will explore signs and symptoms of lymphoedema and give practical advice on how to manage the condition or minimise the risk of developing it. Participants will also be given the chance to have their questions answered by a lymphoedema specialist.
The second session, from 1.00pm to 3.00pm, is A guide to cancer drugs. The informal session, led by an expert oncologist, will examine the five most common drugs used in the treatment of primary breast cancer and will explain how these drugs get from the test tube to the breast cancer clinic. Participants will also have the chance to have their questions answered by our expert speaker.
The sessions are suitable for anyone who has been diagnosed with breast cancer, their families or friends. Participants are welcome to attend one or both sessions, but places are limited so booking is essential.
