I wonder what is causing some pain in mastectomy area 2 yrs on I cannot see any swelling but feel really unsure and hate to ask the Dr
I did not have any other treatments after the op
I would value any advice

Sometimes I think it is possible to feel changes in your arm before there is any visible swelling (I believe this is what is sometimes called ‘sub-clinical’ lymphoedema), but I’m not so sure about the breast/chest/trunk area. Lymphoedema CAN be painful…I think the best thing to do is to get the pain checked out professionally.

I had a double mastectomy 3yrs ago and sometimes get pains across chest, doc said it was the muscle on chest wall moving over my ribs, especially when i,ve been doing a lot of movement, think this is quite commom,
