Hello everyone I had my mammogram and ultra sound today and it was all fine it was because the Mammagram I had done two weeks ago wasn’t lined up properly. I have calcium around the scar tissue which is nothing to worry about. Today’s tests have said I am ok nothing to worry about thank god xxxxx
Thank you but it’s always so daunting every time you go and have it done and wait wait I cryed and hugged the radiologist after my sister was in tears too xx
Phew,we all have to go through this every year!!!I was told it is much more complex to read the mammograms after you have had surgery and radiotherapy so expecting we may get recalled more often, terrifying though.
Hi Jill I did not know that it was complex to look at mammograms once you’ve had surgery, thank you at least I know that now X I was so relieved it was calcification when I had my yearly check it came back as a cluster which concerned them that’s why I was recalled. Because it was not taken properly but when I went back the mammogram hurt and looking at the photos the calcification disbursed xxxx
Yes ,my surgeon told me that they have 2 or 3 people look at them as they can be more difficult to read due to scar tissue and damage caused by radiotherapy .Glad yours was nothing I can imagine how sick you must have felt .
I was I had a weeks wait as well and my sister came with me when I came out of there we both cried I hugged the radiologist ha ha x
I can imagine ,I would be in tears too.
Thanks for the useful info about post-surgery mammograms… I’ve got my first one on 15 March and follow up appointment is not until 20 April - this probably explains the long wait.
