Yes they still do a mammogram of the good side. You need to tell them that you have an implant (just the person doing the mammogram once you are in the room, not the receptionist or anyone public like that) - then they will be more careful and will not put so much pressure on with the machine when they do it, to avoid damaging the implant.
Hi jude… If you still have breast tissue they can still do mammos the same way they do mammos on ladies who have cosmetic breast implants… It takes a little longer to get you in position but it can still be done.
But if your symmetry surgery invoved removing all the breast tissue and replacing it with an implant then you wouldnt need a mammogram.
