Hi, i found a lump in my breast and have got mammogram on tues, usually they don’t phase me, iv’e always had them regularly, however my breast is very painful to touch now and i’m scared it’s really going to hurt. I have very small breasts and it isn’t an easy thing for them to do. I’m also terrified, i can’t tell anyone… Small problem compared to others i know.

Wishing you all the very best. I do hope that the mammogram process is not painful. I’m quite slim and I do find the hard edges of the machine dig into my ribs which is very uncomfortable, albeit short-lived discomfort.
You say you “can’t tell anyone” - why is this?
Will you be able to take anyone with you to the appointment? Obviously he/she wouldn’t be able to come into the mammography room with you but could keep you company on the journey there and back and in the waiting room.
