I was on Paclitaxel and told I shouldn’t feel sick if the anti nausea medication is working. I had 3 different types and then a combination of 2 helped. Also it can cause terrible 
so make sure you have Imodium/loperamide to take and keep your fluids up.
Boring plain food was better for me during chemo. Lemon and ginger tea helped. Fruit upset my tummy.

Hi all, just catching up with all the posts. It seems everyone is having a bit of a low period. I have to say the past week i too have been struggling. Not sure if it is because of how relentless it all feels. After 10 weeks of weekly chemo i think it has really started to take its toll. To be expected i guess but it feels relentless physically but also emotionally. I have 2 more weeks of weekly Paclitaxel and then i am half way through as i move into 4 cycles of EC. It really is a case of digging deep at the moment.

I feel exactly like you! Like it’s a 10 week thing!
I feel like every day is a slog and I feel like I’m surviving rather than living! We are ticking off the weeks now and we’re doing well. Hopefully in a few days we will feel more upbeat x
You can start ticking them off now. Im now on Cyclizine, had to phone again, temp 37.7 
nurse said bloods were all good, a bit high but jabs seem to been doing their job, shes requesting an inflammation marker and will speak to doctor on what to do next.
Good they’ve given you other meds. When you had the antihistamine did you get the stinging nettle feeling down below?
No thank goodness, I want to declare an outright ban on SE. Just had a crumpet, not sure that was a good idea.

Hope you’ll soon be feeling better. The take home meds I’ve got is aprepitant and cyclizine. No jabs or steroids this time as weekly x
I’ve read some people go over to weekly pac from 2 weekly if struggling so maybe this could be an option for you x
What helped me with the nausea when on Paclitaxel is to eat and drink separately (drinking 30-40 minutes after food). Whenever I drink after food, I feel nauseous… Just a tip.
I’m starting my first EC cycle tomorrow, quite anxious. I prepped a lot of food, cleared my calendar from any plans and ready for whatever is coming (hopefully not much)
I will also have a blod infusion tomorrow, my hemoglobin is quite low so I actually asked for it… Hopefully won’t look so pale and feel so weak any longer

I know what you mean. I feel so fed up of not being able to do anything. I see so many things i want to do but literally have no energy to muster! I feel a bit useless to everyone around me. Lets hope this is a low blip and we can start to feel a bit brighter soon.

I was sat with a lady last week who had this sensation after anti histomine. She said it was so strange and immediate as soon as they administered it!!
Do you not have antihistamine with EC?
Yes I am weekly, if it happens again I’ll ask for reduction, I managed to get a bit of sleep last night, at least I didnt need to stay the night on sofa again and just had small bowl of boringly bland porridge. Nurse just phoned, happy for me to self monitor and call in if I get worse and 2nd Pac tomorrow
They are reducing my dose of chemo because of the accumulated side effects so ask for yours to be reduced too. We should not suffer this much.
Hi there, no didn’t have anti histamine with ec but her jabs and steroids at home. On weekly pac I only have anti sickness tabs. The sensation is so strange!
