I’m doing 2 weekly PAC so I know it’s a little different. But I’m struggling with feeling dizzy and lightheaded too. Apparently PAC can cause low blood pressure. I already have low bp so I think mines gotten quite low.
I found the leg aches were the worst after the first infusion. Not nearly as achey on 2 & 3 x
Is anyone doing Paclitaxel 2 weekly and hasn’t needed to have the filgrastim injections?
I’m really struggling with them. I passed out again after doing my 2nd injection. Doctor has told me not to do anymore. But now I’m worried my white blood levels won’t get to a good level and I’m going to get infection
I’m so close to the end now (1 left) Just want things to go smoothly
Hello ladies anyone had low platelets counts in there blood test results, I just seen my last chemo tests results (very late on the app) and mine shown 72(normal range is 150 and I had 210 before the start of chemotherapy in general).
My third chemo was sooo bad for 5-6 days and I was super fatigued as well now I am wondering is because the chemo ward proceed with the infusion while that marker is very low and today I had another blood test and hopefully the app will show me the results early but anyway I will ask my oncologist who thinks I have high anxiety but I am just worried.
I am having 7 days of this injection every round and I hate them and I never learned how to do it properly yet and last one of my third round hurt as was bleeding after maybe I hit a nerve.
I am on docetaxel not same chemo as you but surely ask you oncologist is there is any risk or not.
I’m off to oncology for my 2nd pac, be interesting to see what my blood tests say as I feel completely wiped out. Also feel light headed. They’re going to spin them before treatment. I’ll be surprised if chemo goes ahead today x
I had bloods this morning spoke to chemo nurse and advised to phone hotline, they told me to take 2 senna and they will phone tomorow, if no change then i would have to go in but Im happy to report just been to the loo hoorah but can look forward to more of the same with the ant sickness tabs whoopdedoop, she also ruled out me having oral thrush and that no taste is def chemo related, unfortunatly nothing can be done, we just have to wait until treatment is done for everthing to get back to normal, she said to try and take in smaller, high calorie foods/drinks… I shouldnt have got on the scales, put on 11 LB since start of chemo, totally peed off, so now im bald AND fat
Hi there, I had chemo today. Met the dr beforehand as they were undecided if was going ahead due to the pains in legs and also the fatigue. My bloods came back ok so we went ahead with it and will have steroids for 5 days to give me a boost. If I’m still tired then they will drop next weeks chemo. She said it’s v common to miss the odd one on weekly chemo and they expect it to happen. She also said it’s proven that it someone drops a week then they complete more cycles. So overall I’m pleased with thr plan end so glad I met the dr. She said i look exhausted! (I thought I looked ok! )
You just taught me something. This medicine has felt like my lifeline. But all of these side effects are so ghetto. I can hardly pick up the jug of Orange juice.
The tiredness is hard isn’t it. Mention it at the next treatment as they may give you extra steroids the dr yesterday said they take fatigue very seriously so please mention it. Hope you’re ok. I won’t be doing much today except watch tv in bed. But with the steroids I could be doing loads later! X
Just tried to do a bit of gardening, 5 min and im out of breath, I was fitter during my op recovery than I am on this poison. Looks like Im having a moany grumpy week.
Awww I hope you’re ok. The tiredness and shortness of breath is horrible. Just a small thing seems to tire me out. Today I’m not going to move except go downstairs and come back up to bed. My energy levels are much lower each week. I think my body took a batterjng on EC and now the weekly pac is taking its toll. I’m only a tiny percentage above the lowest level for red blood cells on yesterday’s test. So I think that’s why I’m so tired. Steroids don’t seem to have given me a boost yet! But time will tell! Put your feet up and hopefully we will get some more energy from somewhere!
Same here, I feel so fatigued and my mood is low as I know tomorrow I will get another strike of chemo.
I took my steroids this morning and can’t feel any boost I wish just to sleep and rest at night.
Are you on weekly pac? Tell the nurse how you’re feeling and they’ll get the dr to talk to you. You may need a break for a week to build you up. It’s a long slog and it’s so upsetting at times when you feel so tired. Last week on weekly chemo I was able to do a few things then have a nap but this week I feel really tired x
I am on Docetaxol/Carboplatin/phesgo for 6 rounds tomorrow it’s the fourth.
When I talked to my oncologist she said it’s the side effects accumulating after each cycle not the best news I wanted to hear but I will just start counting down now to give my self some positivity.
I will have counselling next week maybe will let everything out and feel better.
Phew, I’m finally feeling a bit better on day 8 after my first EC. Damn, this one floored me with nausea, first 6 days I could barely get up from the sofa.
This nausea feels different than on Paclitaxel, last much longer
I also lost a bit of taste, everything seems quite plain or tastes odd but it seems it’s a common side effect, annoying though
Last time I had chemo I asked for a blood infusion (you have to ask quite in advance for it) and it definitely made me feel better. Almost no fatigue and finally I’m not looking so scarily pale. Maybe it’s worth asking for if feeling very tired or having low red cells?
