Clare, its really windy here too today, but that’s not unusual! We could maybe meet up with you at New St Station on the Friday. Caren & I arrive at 1.08 and are meeting Marie67 (Jane) who arrives at 1.38. You might not be long after that, so amybe we could meet you there and walk to the hotel together?

I too get in to New Street about half twelve on Saturday, so apart from searching for a few short haired furtive looking ladies, hopefully wearing name badges, I’d love to arrange to meet on mass. Anyone feel free to PM me or arrange a place to meet. Don’t know about anyone else but my sense of directon is rubbish so getting to hotel with others sounds more promising ( remember this is the woman who booked the train for wrong date so any help appreciated, I also checked hotel but thankfully had the right date for that).
i too had call about Christmas Parade, nice of them to put a special event on for us special ladies.

Clare, am sure you’re not controlling the weather. yesterday was terrible though. Was supposed to be doing Colosseum today and Trastevere but oldest daughter was taken by ambulance to hospital this morning. I think she had a seizure. They are doing lots of tests, she will probably be staying in. Hopefully everything will be ok and we will be able to fly home tomorrow. Cant even avoid hospitals on my holiday!!
A&E a gruesome experience as lots of people were bought in from a bad traffic accident. Someone had died and there was lots of blood. Feel very sorry for the families involved.

Evening Lovely Ladies
Went to see my lovely hairdresser today and got a trim which is the first time she’s cut my hair since giving me a no.1 during chemo. She’s is such a lovely person and didn’t charge me, bless her. I’m going back on Monday to have a colour put on, yes, I’m taking the plunge and having a light brown colour which is going to be interesting. I’ve been given a patch test to make sure that my system isn’t going to react to the chemicals after having so much put into me over the last few months. So all being well you won’t see various shades of grey for the get together. Also managed to do some clothes shopping and found a few items but looking forward to B’ham and better shops next weekend. Hubby was so good and dragged around with me without any moans and groans, bless him.
Wolsty - Sorry to hear that the weather in Rome is awful and your daughter is unwell and in hospital. I do hope everything goes well for her and you can all come home tomorrow. Please let us know when you can how things are?
Looked at the train times for arriving on the Friday and we should be getting into New Street about 3.00pm and it’s only a short walk to the hotel from there. My hubby will get me there fine which is just as well because my navigation skills are terrible. We will be catching the 10.14 train out of New Street on the Sunday because we have a family dinner booked for 1.00pm back in Northampton. Assuming the trains run on time then that will give us time to get there.
Have to go now but will try to catch up again later. Hope everyone is doing OK today and send my very best wishes.

We have discharged my daughter and plan to fly home tomorrow and get the EEG and MRI at home. She is feeling much better. I am scared stiff, keep asking her if she is ok and wont sleep much. Just want to get home. Its really hard being in a hospital when you don’t speak the language. Having said that the care given was excellent.

Lovely morning here if a bit breezy. I really rather pleased cos I have eyebrows now that you can see n the distance in a mirror and not close up and eyelases are comingif a bit faint…hair getting there too but will be a while before I can think of a colour, am jealous Beryl lol

Whilst I think on…boob seems to be doing fine now, 2 weeks since rads finished…still slapping the cream on3/4 times a day but think must be healong as gets a bit itchy now too? s that normal?

I know New Street Station is being redeveloped so not sure what state it’s in or what facilities there are currently, I know a few people who travel into New Street every day so i’ll try and find out the best place to meet.
