Mastectomy Anxiety

I hope you are doing well
It’s been long time I posted anything on the forum, my mum finished her chemo on 12th September. Lump has significantly shrunk, her axillary lymph nodes are normal. Just visited the surgeon today, she will have mastectomy due the type of cancer she has. As a daughter bit worried but it’s definitely the best option.

Just would like to hear your experiences I am an anxious person.

I had a mastectomy and it went really well. I know you posted this a while back so may be out of date now. If shes having/had lymph nodes clearance too then encourage her to keep doing her arm exercises they make a huge difference!
