Mastectomy bra without prosthesis

Hi
I’m new so hope I’ve posted in the right place! I had a mastectomy in December and currently having chemotherapy. Feeling up and down, but beginning to think about normal life and the future again.
Can anyone recommend a bra supplier that has bras without the need for a prosthesis? I haven’t had reconstruction and still have one breast. I’ve tried the prosthesis and it just doesn’t feel like me. For me, I am ok with my new wonky chest and so have no problem people noticing that I only have 1 boob left! But when I try to shop for bras I can only find ones that have 2 cups and a pocket for a prosthesis. Does anyone know of any supplies that have 1 cup or a flatter finish?

thanks x Carrie

I bought a couple of soft cup bras from Sainsbury’s. They lay pretty neatly over the flat side, with no obvious bunching. I am only a B cup though, I guess if you were bigger than that it might not work quite so well.

I am sure I have read about a company that converts nice bras into a flat sided one. I think I saw it mentioned on here somewhere, but it might have been on the flat friends group on Facebook.

Do look up knitted knockers too, you might find better for you if you wanted to try for now if you wanted in the future. This will sound crazy, but cushion stuffing works well in bra and gives natural look, doesn’t give a line like a protests can under clothes. The Sainsbury’s soft bras are comfy and think about £6 or so :two_hearts: :two_hearts: :sparkles: :sparkles: Shi xx
