MASTECTOMY BRAS ONLINE

Just ordered mastectomy bras from 2 very well known stores online and for the 1st time was charged VAT. I have been on the phone to both ccmpanies. One customer service assistant didn’t know what mastectomy was so I said post surgery, at that point they thought I was talking about postage!!!

One company has refused to refund the postage said I have to go to the local tax office. The other company said they would look into it and e-mail on Monday/Tuesday and IF I am right would refund back onto my card.

Both say they have never been asked this before, so how many ladies have paid VAT when they shouldn’t.

So 2 complaint letters on their way.

…maybe you should name and shame! B

Hi all Has anyone used a company called Bouncing Back to order post surgery bras recently??

Hi Marian
You are correct and shouldnt be paying VAT on mastectomy bra’s. Sorry you have had such c**p service from these 2 companies. I can really recommend Nicola Jane, customer service very good. I also tried Eloise who werew hopeless and I would never use again as their customer service was dreadful and it took me over 2 months to get a refund for a bra when they had sent the incorrect item anyway! Other than that I haevused the high street, John Lewis & Debenhams, who have both been ok, although Debenhams dont stock mx bras in many of their stores. JL were ok, but it is a hard slog to find an mx bra that you are comfortable with and than is ok for your prosthesis, in my experience anyway! I often thought it would be best to go to a specialist shop, but they are very few and far between and none near me! Nicola Jane have 3 and Amoena have 1. Best of luck with it anyway.
D’oh, just seen your post was from January so you are probably sorted now!
Sorry Elenamae, never used Bouncing back.
