Well done, to you for getting through your surgery and managing to let us know that you are feeling ok.

When you go home, please take all the help offered to you, eat good food, drink plenty of water (nothing stronger at the the moment) lots of rest, and don’t for the the dreaded stretches when you’re ready.

Wishing you well, with lots of TLC, keep posting letting us know how you’re getting on. We are all here for you.

I’m following your op and recovery really closely. I’m in for double mastectomy tomorrow (IDC and DCIS in right and DCIS in left) and sentinel node removal and reached the panic stage.
Just want it done but terrified it’s in my nodes.
Glad to hear you’re up and about and doing well xx

Honestly ive been so positive but the idea of drains etc was making me anxious, but from my perspective its been amazing im in no pain the nurse has just been and i feel confident now to change the drainage bags, im sending you so much positivity and love , you will be amazing . I had a contrast ct scan before my results so knew it had gone into 5 nodes so full clearance for me so i knew beforehand, i will be having chemo and herceptin but you have to go one stage at a time. Wishing you all the luck with uour recovery please let me know how your doing. Julie xx

@julesjp just home after my op yesterday. The drains are annoying and painful on one side but got lots of drugs - including a bottle of morphine, might need that tonight!
Just the long wait for the nodes biopsy results - he thought they looked clear but then again they thought it was a cyst four weeks ago and here I am with a double mastectomy.
Anyway, hope your recovery is going well xxxx

I had a routine mammogram 9 months ago and was told it was clear, then found my lump in may then at results asked how could it be this aggressive in a short space of time they said my routine mammogram wasnt clear, that mammogram was in a different place to the breast clinic so they are looking into it. Xx

That’s so worrying. I had a routine mammogram 18 months ago and all looked fine apparently but they are going to look back at it. Hope you get some answers.

Hi tilli. Saw breast cancer nurse today she changed the dressings and cleaned the area. All positive she wants the drains in longer, theres not one bruise on me. I go back next wednesday to see if dressings can come off and hopefully the drains have reduced so they can come out. Xx

Hi julesjp, glad you’re holding up. I had my drains out on Tuesday - there was hardly any fluid coming from them. The breast nurse told my husband to take the dressings off on Monday so guess that’s his job. All been well but really puffy and tingling. Just the long wait for results now xxxx

The tingling and pain in my arm is bearable at times the nurse said its from lymph clearance and nerve damage but its good, still numb in places the big step for me is when dressings come off complety to look, yes the wait for results mine are on 22 august if theyre back , then wait for oncology appointment then chemo xx

The tingling is so weird and then tightness. I presume it’s nerve too. They didn’t give me a date just three weeks so may be longer I guess. xxxx

Morning tili. Had all my pathology results yesterday, it was a 2 cm tumour and lots of papilomas, they took 34 lymph nodes out and 1 had cancer thanfully as the ct scan showed 5 nodes involved so much better than ithought . Finally the wound has closed up. I will see oncologist within the next 2 weeks for my chemotherapy & herceptin plan so extremely pleased with the results. X
