Hi all I had a single mastectomy with expander implant reconstruction last Feb. Everything has gone well so far and this will be my permanent implant. The valve is still attached and I can feel it under my skin and which is ok but it does make finding a comfy bra more tricky as it goes across the tube.
My surgeon seemed quite happy to leave it or take it out as I wanted so am not sure what to do. Will I need it in the future? Have others had this and what have you done?
