how long does the wound take to heal mine is still very red nearly 2 weeks later

I had a mx on Monday 12th November. Most of it is healing well but there is a section of the wound which is still very red. I rang the ward yesterday to ask if this is OK and the staff nurse said I could either wait until Wednesday, when I have an appointment at the surgeon’s clinic, or I could pop along to the ward and they would have a look at it. I’m fretting about it a bit as it’s second time around for me and the first time I’m sure I healed quicker. Perhaps it would be a good idea to ring your BCN to ask for advice.
