May 2017 chemo starters

Well done Katie x x x x x x x x whoop whoop.

Now you may remember a couple of weeks ago I had tooth ache ?. I now just have really sensitive teeth anything hard or hot is quite painful. I am seeing the dentist next month. Has anyone else noticed this since Chemo has finished?

Yes to toothbrush and paste. I also keep getting migraines this is my third this week ?

Well done Katie???. It’s a strange feeling isn’t it? I think weve all been in survival mode and it’s only once it’s over that you start to deal with the emotional impact.

Friends have been amazing through all of this. The use of deodorant helps keep them friendly… Of course you lovely people don’t know if I smell! ?

Ouch with the teeth Treehouse. ?

Hi Jay I have had migraine in the past. I think I am putting a lot of stress on my shoulder and neck muscles sleeping on my pile of pillows on my back etc. I could do with a bloody good massage but hubby is exhausted and scared to touch me at the moment.
Oh bless I woke up in the middle of the night and he was lying on my arm. I was trapped. Had to wake him. He tried blaming me for being in the middle of the bed but seriously once I lie down, I CAN NOT MOVE!

Ooh I’d love a slice Mai ??

I’m currently in a soft play with my son and his friend as they have a half day for parents evening. It’s easier with 2 than 1 as I’m not sure I’d manage the climbing at the moment.

Mai you have me howling. Balls, boobs and bathere’s pumpkin ? pie.
As long as you didn’t think about making a spare boob about of a pumpkin ? ???
Mine are slowly settling in and swelling is less. Any bonus inches are melting away. Surgeon did say they are only 4g bigger than the breast tissue/ cancer removed)
But with my tiny boobs , 4g is a large % ???

So desperate to roll on my side.
Husband was required to give me a shove in order to sit up to begin with. I was a bit like a stranded ladybird for the first few days.

Tatyana SNAP. Crazy flashy eyes and blind spots and feels a bit sick but the headache never quite makes it. I just go for a lie down till it passes

Scrambled eggs, cheese on toast and cheese and cucumbers ? sandwiches.

My Chemo diet

That sounds so familiar. Happened once when I was driving. Had to pull over. Side of my face and tongue went numb too. Nice to meet a fellow sufferer. ?

Pizza ?
Instant noodles
Sweets
Salt and vinegar crisps
Curry
Sandwiches and toast
Carbs, carbs and more carbs

Bright lights definitely get me. Coffee, cheese or red ? wine set my dad off and he loves all 3.
Yours sound particularly nasty Mai ?

We just have to keep managing the situation we find ourself in.

Tatyana everything crossed with lots of :sparkles::sparkles::sparkles::sparkles::sparkles::sparkles:wised for you beautiful ???shi xx

?? keep away from bugs ? one last time. My temp was rising last night got to 37.7 ? but went down again.
Keeping an eye and trying not to be paranoid.

Yes yo crazy fortress shapes!!!

Question has anyone got rid of their red ‘ I’m a patient on chemotherapy ‘ card yet?
Mine is still in my purse along with emergency antibiotics prescription.
When are we classed as past Chemo?
Don’t think we will ever be classified as normal x

Hi treehouse can you get rid of that before you finish rads? Is it just for the chemo side of the journey. Can’t believe your hubbies in bed with you, I just starfishes right over our doubled bed with pillows round me both sides while having to sleep flat on my back with my arm from operated side resting just so on the pillow down that side, not moving all night worried I’d end up with lymphedema as the day don’t carry bags or have anything tight round that arm etc etc any no bloods, bp’s or anything on that arm ever again, it’s a mare isnt it, don’t think any of us ever slept on our backs and it’s strange for a bit to say the least, but once all healed up you can get him jumping off the top of the wardrobe again if he likes ???:sparkles::sparkles::sparkles:shi xx

Hi everyone couldn’t agree more about all the lovely ladies you meet on this forum is definitely a positive about our chemo journey you also meet some really lovely and special people when going to appointments treatment or your local support organisation (mines Maggies Newcastle)
Smooth skin is another positive!!
Tatanya I’m day 9 now round 5 and like you it’s around this time for my temp to go up so I’m keeping everything crossed x I am so wanting to get off the chemo train at the right stop with no delay ?
Katie brilliant you have finished your treatment triathlon ??? bet you feel amazing!!!
It’s awful up North today it’s done nothing but rain but had my little granddaughter for a visit so it’s been a good day hoping the weather picks up as I would like to take her out for a walk in her pram on Sunday!!!

Mishy ???:heart::heart:??:sparkles::sparkles::sparkles:everything crossed for you too. Love shi xx

Interesting I had double mx and on day 2 the nurse got in a flap about taking blood pressure on either arm and did it on my leg!!!
The thing is when I came out of surgery I was hooked up to obs machine on right arm ( that had a canular in) for several hours taking regular oxygen level and blood pressure.
No one mentioned using my leg then!!!
Very confused ?‍♀️

Husband says I have obviously not made it clear how gorgeous he is and that I could not bear to sleep without him ?.

He is bloody wonderful to be honest x

Can’t believe they bunged a Canula in either arm maybe because it was just after op it was ok? ?‍:female_sign:No on your leg treehouse did they just wrap the band round your thigh them? Anyone else had it done like that? Well only right you married Tarzan then to go with your new brad pits treehouse ???I know bless them very much, they are our rocks on this journey too. Mai7 where’s my pumpkin pie with a side order of mobile ???love you my darling mai7 you brighten each day so very very much since we met:heart::heart:??:sparkles::sparkles::sparkles:shi xx
