Hi Mai you sound busy. Reflexology sounds lovely yes please. It’s nice knowing people meet up in the real world ??to Shi.
CRP is a protein produced by the liver and it shows inflammation/ infection. ( can even be an indication of some cancers)
-10 is normal. I went from 28-46 last week.
I was 126 when I had endocarditis.
It doesn’t tell you what is wrong but gives an idea if things are improving, responding to treatment or getting worse!!!
I have known my CRP levels since November.
5 is my favourite ???
Treehouse - great results today!! ?
Mai your complimentary therapy sessions sound fab! How relaxing ??♀️
Mishy, I hope all went well with your bone scan today lovey. ?
Morning ladies! Hope you are all well.
Despite a rubbish few days at work I got my PIP letter today and I have been awarded the basic level to Jan 2020.

Treehouse, I just found this interesting article on CRP. Maybe something we all need to be aware of.
Love to all. Xxx
Oops, forgot to post the link! Here it is:

Another good one on anti-inflammatory diet and updated recently: health.harvard.edu/staying-healthy/foods-that-fight-inflammation
Morning all hope you are well. It’s -6 here this morning and I am reluctant to come out from under my duvet. Had the most wonderful couple of days with our 2 youngest. They were a joy to be with and the sunshine at the seaside was perfect. I am still grinning from ear to ear. Heather great news about PIP. I came home to a letter about assessment but no specific date given yet. I feel great ( maybe catching my sons cold) but mentally so positive and managed 10000 steps yesterday!
The oldest boys return from ski trip tomorrow night so that makes me happy too. Missed them lots .
A post about life not medical appointments yay ??.
Hope you have lovely weekend plans x x
Jay congratulations to your son that’s a fantastic achievement ???.
My phone says back to work on Monday ???I don’t think so. I must have put that on the calendar ? a long time ago.
Nurse just phoned I start rehab on March 1st ( next Thursday) looking forward to proper exercise class and knowing what I am allowed/ capable of.
X x
Back on the herceptin injections. Tues 4:30. Have not had one since October. They are happy to just do injection. No need for infusion ?
Just filled in a HAD assessment ( hospital anxiety and depression) I was asked to do it before rehab. Has anyone else filled one in? Take a look on the internet. I would be interested to know what you all think. After everything we have been through I think a high scores is completely normal. Eg questions about our appearance etc.
?
Hi all, treehouse glad you had a great time in Brighton, you’ll have to pop in and see me next time you’re driving down this way. I’m going there next Friday with my daughter for the day, when we’ve been paid! Good luck with the herceptin injection.
Jay - congrats to your son, that’s great news, you must be feeling very proud. Are you back at the hospital next Thursday, I have another pm appointment to pick up my tablets.
Tatyana- how was cycle 1? I have my last dose this evening and then a week off. Yay?. Feeling surprisingly good, just a bit of fatigue although that may be because I’m back at work on a phased return. Not sure when I’’ll be able to cope with full time and the daily commute! Now you’re on FB you should join our May group, just pm WolfEE for details if you’re interested.
Happy Friday everyone, it’s beautifully sunny here today but cold.
Jay, didn’t realise herceptin was dependent on your heart scan, got everything crossed for you that you get the go ahead for Thursday, maybe we can start doing a little heart dance for you???
I suppose the scan is at E Surrey, I’m at Crawley on Monday morning for pre chemo blood test ? Back to that 3 weekly cycle again, brings back such fond memories!!!
Rosie and tatyana I am so pleased you are doing so well. X
So after almost a year of watching American box sets, reading dozens of books recommended by friends and doing umpteen sudoku I have finally decided I am ready to read a book about the disease we have all had our lives hijacked by. I know some of you ( Mai ) have had the balls to read throughout treatment but I have taken a while to reach this point.
I am reading breast cancer A Soul Journey by Patricia Greer.
Anyone else got any recommendations?
Evening ladies some lovely posts good to hear so much ??? going on!
Scan was OK nothing too daunting haven’t got results figure no ness is good news
Started my where now at Maggies today a great bunch of people lots of tears shed though as first session involved stories as into to group i was pleased i was no 4 not the last one spoke really fast as i thought i was going to stsrt crying rambling a bit its hard telling your story out loud to others isn’t it, had to do that score sheet thing too treehouse i thinj im a bloody barn pot as mine were all the high score ? but i suppose thats what is normal for now!!
I think next week will be more light hearted tgey are going to have some exercises and nutrition advice its for 7 weeks so if anyone has a Maggies Centre nearby i strongly recommend you sign up for it x
Andi your radiographer sound like a right ?. I am ?at the thought of you stomping out without a word. We are very vulnerable lying there topless while they poke our ribs and scars . You didn’t deserve that x x
Fingers crossed ? your scan is good. I know it is worrying waiting.
Apologies for the typos i think my fingers haven’t recovered yet from neuropathy ?
Andi what a ? i bet you felt like telling her where to go sometimes i wonder why some people are so insensitive surely they get questions like that all the time, i always ask questions ?
Treehouse sounds like you had a lovely time ?
