Hello everyone

Today is the day, mum is having her first chemo. It will be roughly 6 hours only for today as observation is also included since it’s her first time. Don’t know whether I’m feeling anxious or glad, just mixed feelings hehe.

Can she wear her compression socks during chemo and do you continue wear them over night or you can take it off once chemo done

What to take with you for first chemo any tips

I am due to start next week so I can’t comment on what to wear etc, but I understand the anxiety. I hope all goes well for your mum today, sending best wishes to you both . Let us know how you get on.

Thank you @sunflower9  definitely will update soon

Surgery April 1st with reconstruction and reduction on other side. 3 of 5 lymph nodes had cancer. Presumably starting chemo this month, but waiting for onco results to come back. Er+ PR+ Her2-, grade 3 stage 2 (after surgery). Feel like I know absolutely nothing except I’m supposed to eat healthy, but I’ve got three boys at home 22, 19 18 - graduating and I am BUSY, so glad if we get a meal on the table let alone 5 vegetables - really overwhelmed with healthy meal planning. And of course the great unknowns ahead! Really appreciate the input here on eye brow microblading- I might try that, and compression socks. And silicone scar sheets - is this for breast surgery or eyebrow blading or both? ?!!!

Hi everyone came back from first chemotherapy for mum

It went quiet well, first round was EC, I keep asking my mum how she is feeling, at the moment she doing well, urine came red like beetroot mum said heheh but sofar she is doing well, she took anti sickness before chemo treatment, they gave steroids and good flush

With home she got injections she has to do for 8 days, take anti sickness for the next two days, and got safety if she requires, and another tablet she has to take for 3 days at 8am, 12am and 4pm

I will let you all know in the next few days how she is

Keep her drinking at least 2 litres of water it helps flush things through, she should take the antisickness meds even if she doesn’t feel sick, these will help prevent her from feeling sick, if they don’t work, ring her rapid response number and tell them the antisickness tablets are not working, her team will tweak them till they hit on right combination for her :two_hearts::two_hearts::sparkles::sparkles:Shi xx

Great advice as akwsys shi. Def drink lots of water and keep on top of tabs. Put alarms on your phone, and ring the 24/7 line for anything! Don’t be at home worrying give them a call x

Morning everyone
Small update

I see significant improvement after first treatment, unless I am hallucinating :joy: her breast before treatment was red and the lump was quiet big, after the treatment, redness is fading away and the lump has slightly went down  symptoms wise at the moment tiredness. I will attach before and after picture. First picture was before treatment and second after first treatment
