Hi All,
My story so far. I had stage 3 advanced metastatic cancer in 2013 which returned last year to my lung and bones. I have been on targeted therapy. Tried Cape and Letrozole. Cape failed me and so progression. Been on Ibrance and Letrozole with Denosaumab since October last year but this is now failing me. I’m starting to feel really worried about what is left treatment wise. I was hoping not to be back on IV chemo. Are there many more lines of treatment available to hold back this diagnosis? Xx
I’m sorry you’re worried. It’s horrible. I’m not an oncologist and I think you need to write a list of questions to ask at your next appointment. I have breast cancer in my bones and I tend to write questions down. I forget otherwise and then regret it. I’m a little confused by your post as I didn’t think stage 3 was metastatic? I thought that was stage 4? I was diagnosed straight to stage 4 in March 2018. I have been on Letrosole and Palciblib since then with three months. It’s very hard to cope with the uncertainty I know that. My oncologist said on Monday that there are a lot of new treatments. I hope you get some answers. Best wishes Anne
Hi Louell, i think you have had a hard time of it. I’m stage 4 BC with 4 lung mets. I’m on Letrozole and Palbociclib which, ?, is working so far. I’m in a wonderful support group at my local Maggies centre and we hear about new treatments all the time. Two of our members were actually put onto brand new stuff last Tuesday ! ?? So don’t give up, I’m sure that there are some more treatments out there suitable for you. Sending hugs. X
