Measles.

I’ve bought a dress from eBay.
It’s for a night out this week and is late arriving. I emailed the seller, and this is the reply

hi i have had two children with measles for the ast 10 days and the baby was in hospital for 3 days. they are now packaged and ready to send tomorrow. i hoe you understand and im really sorry about the delay. thank you and sorry again

Should I be worried? I’m a few days after fec 2.

Advice gratefully recieved.

I think I would wash, dry clean, but I really don’t think I would touch it before its cleaned in some way - could you ask your BCN?
but just to say this is based on how I would feel emotionally about the possibility of introducing the measles virus into my house when immune system low - no science involved here at all! Perhaps someone with a science brain will reply! bw Nicola

I think the dress is going to remain in the package as not to take a chance. Bugger, i’m skint too, lol.

Off to town to search for black trousers…

oops sorry dunno what happened here!

Hahaha Mary Grace!

Elttiks, I get why you are concerned, can someone else open the parcel for you and wash it for you before you even go near it? Googling seems to say the virus can live for 2hrs in the air so I would assume by the time the dress gets to you it would be perfectly safe, but why not ring your hospital if you are unsure.

Hope you have a good night out xx
