I am really just wondering how you are getting on with your treatment and the side effects. You had mentioned that the side effects were making you ill, how are you and how are the tumours>

I am feeling alot better tumours have shrunk 50 per cent that is after 4 avastin 6 taxol scan was 1st April I was expecting a good result as tummy was flatter than it has been in past 3 years. I am tired usually on Monday and Tuesdays as treatment is on Fridays. My biggest problem was with radio therapy top of spine it burnt my windpipe and whatever pipes are in that area. I could smell burning and thourght I had left a pan on it was me my throat
and it killed. Anyway that has improved side effects to avastin have been o.k. just the add nosebleed.

what pct are you under, ask your onc if you were a private patient would he treat you with avastin if the answer is yes say you would like to be treated and then if you can face it get in touch with the media. Its sad that we have to go this route but at this moment in time it is all that is available to us. I feel really guilty and angry that the health sevice are holding back drugs that can extend our life by goodness knows how long. If I was prime minister for a week I would turn the nhs upside down
and would all have less fear and longer with our loved ones. Not too much to ask is it.

I have the problem with thrush but I put it down to radio therapy so thanks for mentioning that. Keep up the pressure I just wish more people would admit to being on avastin I am sure it would help to make it available to all. Good luck with your scan and dont overdo it when you go back to work.

it is a disgrace how the hell can they tell you that knowing drugs are out there that could help extend life. They take the hypocritical rather than the hippocratic oath to save life. The rest of my thoughts are unprintable.
