message for Anita C Hi Anita

I am glad to hear from you, I notice you havnt been on here much lately…

I hope everything goes well for you today with the tax treatment, I have mine tomorrow which is number 5 and yes your right Feb seems a long way off now, it went so slowly the first 3 chemo’s and I couldnt ever see light at the end of the tunnel, but now I cant believe in 3 weeks time mine will be all over thank the Lord…

again best wishes for today, I hope you have an easy ride with the tax like you did with FEC, I have read some horrible things about tax but then again I have also read and suffered with FEC, but you were ok and I hope the same applies now…

takecare & let me know how you get on

Love as always

Hi Lucy Afraid it was no go with the Taxotere today - after taking 3 high dose steroids in preparation and only 2 hours sleep last night!

I have a red blotchy patch on my arm and back on the op side and a swollen finger - they want me to take antibiotics for a week. I have no temperature, feel fine, its not hot to touch. The breast nurses thought it was lymphodema as that can make the skin pink, but they don’t take any risks with chemo - and yes Tax is a particularly nasty one I have heard. Trying not to get too nervous, but I think it is going to be a lot harder than the FEC.

Only 2 more for you - lets hope you can enjoy the summer! I have to have rads after chemo, so probably looking at mid to end August to finish treatment.

Take care xx

Hi Anita

I am sorry to hear that your chemo has been delayed that is so weird I too am not sure I will be having it tomorrow either I have a temp of 37.3 and feel like I am getting sinusitis so the GP gave me antibiotics,I spoke to my onc’s registrar as he was not in today and she said go along as normal tomorrow if I am not too unwell and they will tell me tomorrow if I am able to have chemo I just want to get it over and done with…My GP also wants me to have a diabetes test as he thinks I may have become diabetic

yes I have to have rads also not sure how many, but then that is it for me as I am triple neg…so I am looking at Sept

I think its best not to delve to deep into things really and just go with it

Sorry you not too well - it’s upsetting when the timetable does not go to plan. On a positive note it will mean I can celebrate my partner’s birthday with him without being ill after chemo.

It will be 5 weeks between my last and next chemo this time, as I put it back a week as I was due to have it on my 50th birthday - I had 3 days of celebrations with friends, family and work mates so I really milked it.

On the plus side, because of this break, all my blood levels are really up so I should be in quite good form ready for the Tax.

Take care.

xx

Hi Anita

I guess what will be will be, I am going to try to push it today as I feel reasonably ok, no worse than when I normally go for chemo…I wondered how you were a bit further behind me as we were a week apart at one time…

happy belated bithday and enjoy your partners birthday, am so glad we and our partners are getting through this reasonably well…

Love
Lucy
