I got a second opinion. I saw one of the best surgeons who specializes in oncology in my area. He has alot of experience dealing with breast cancer. He looked at my ultrasound films and rescanned me. He said it is not cancer. He told me it is either an enlarged or inflamed breast bud or the beginning or gynecomastia. He told me the clinic I originally went to is known for doing things like scaring people into getting biopsies. He said it is how they make their money. I wasn’t the first person they saw with the similar situation. I understand that it is better to be safe than sorry, but the radiologist at the first clinic i went to was an cold ass. I trust this doctor more he treated me like a person and really made an effort to make me understand everything. He ordered a blood test to check my hormones and another appointment in a month to view the results and rescan me with an ultrasound. He told me that he could remove it if I wanted. He said there is no need to do that for any reason other than comfort and he said that it is almost guarnteed that the pathology report would show it as benign. I am going to do the blood work ( hopefully good ) and then have him remove it for piece of mind. As of now I feel alot better I would say about 80% still catch myself thinking “what if?”

I am not butting in on this thread I just wanted to say I am really pleased you got the second opinion. I think you are doing the right thing having removed, hey its not needed so get rid of it and as you say for piece of mind. One reason I opted for mastectomy was for piece of mind that they had got all the cancer.!!
Keep us posted with this and keep smiling Debs is in today for her op bless her…

Awww jonnoj you certainly do not need to thank me, that is what we are here for, to support each other in anyway we can. I have found such a comfort in this site, and it would be terrible for me to take take take and not give anything back. I hope that i can give comfort, even if only in a small way to someone, but I will always try and help. People here have been marvellous to me, and I have been so touched by the kindness and selflessness shown on this site but so many wonderful people female and male.
I am so glad that your lumps have turned out to be nothing to worry about, I hope you are going to go out and celebrate this weekend. Please continue to post as we have got quite used to you being around, and I know for a fact some of your experiences will definitely come in hand for newbies especially men finding lumps.

No more smoking and drinking. I might go out for dinner with my wife. I really don’t feel like celebrating until it is out and I know 100% for sure. As of now I am comforted. I have to wait a month to have it removed so until then I am really trying to keep it out of my mind.
