Hi all!
New here, just recently diagnosed end of January. Received my first scan since diagnoses yesterday. From what i see looks like treatment of Kisqali and Letrozole are helping shrink things. My question is… about 3 weeks ago I had this rash start around where they inserted the titanium tumor markers. It was kind of itchy but since then I have developed a rash in that area. Some bumps are raised, and some are not. I don’t know what it is. Skin cancer? I’m so scared.
Dear Janaro,
So sorry you are feeling so anxious at the moment, if your not feeling right about the way you feel or look, it’s time to contact your breast cancer team for a quick check to put your mind at rest.
Fingers crossed for a good outcome, wishing health and happiness ahead. Please let us know how you’re getting along.
Hugs Tili
Hi janaro
Thanks for posting.
It sounds as though you are having a difficult time at the moment and it’s understandable that you are feeling scared because of the rash which has appeared on your breast.
We cannot say what may be causing this rash, but it may be good to contact your breast care team as @tili says for a quick check to put your mind at rest. Your breast care nurse or treatment team can take a look at the area on your breast and advise you on any treatment you may need.
Being told you have secondary breast cancer can be completely overwhelming and, at times like this, some people find it helpful to talk with others who are going through a similar experience. We have a secondary breast cancer online discussion forum including a private chat group for sharing information and support. There is also a weekly Live chat session which runs on Tuesdays at 8.30-9.30pm.
We also provide a number of different services for people living with secondary breast cancer aimed at providing both information and support online and face-to-face. These include Our Living with Secondary Breast Cancer Online groups facilitated by trained counsellors and speakers live sessions. Our face to face Living with Secondary Breast Cancer groups meet up monthly and also give you the chance to connect with and share experiences with other people who understand what you’re going through.
