Hi , I’ve just had my 2nd WLE and I’m HER2+ I’ve been told I will have chemo and herceptin in 4-6 weeks as I have to heal and meet onc etc , I know probably sounds vain but I was going to get my eyebrows microbladed before chemo as I know I can’t during because of infection , as anybody done this and how long before chemo ? Also is it definite I will lose my hair ? I don’t want to try the cold cap x
I had microblading a week before my chemo started. I couldn’t have the top up but it gave me a good base. Best thing I did, I highly recommend it. Good luck with chemo.
The lady at the micro place said I had to wait 4 weeks after Top up or base for chemo because of healing x I’m going to go for it I think x

Glad I’ve seen this post. My mum has just had a lumpsectory and will be starting chemo in December, keen to try and alleviate the fear of the hair for her and we looked up microblading, asked the nurse team but they didn’t really know. But I think if my mum goes for it then it will make her feel better and she is keen. I got sent a few photos and the transformation with even nothing there is amazing, and I think every little thing helps, however I think if we start it soon it takes bit of the presssure off as if we do it after chemo, it’s waiting time.
We were thinking even if she didn’t have the 4 week top up it’s still there and least that’s covered.
Anyone got any experiencexx
I asked one of the lovely bcn today and she didn’t know about the waiting time after the top up before chemo so I think I may only get the base in too x every little helps xx

Just been for a wound check from 2 nd WLE , all good and I asked about eyebrows as chemo isn’t starting till after Xmas , he said go for it xxx
I had microblading 2 weeks before my first Chemo. I too couldn’t have the top up, but it was the best thing I could have done. I am having my 5th round on wed and cannot express enough how having what look like natural eyebrows is doing for self esteem!

I’m booked in for tomorrow ! I’m having the digital machine as opposed to the microblading as I prob won’t get the top up in , it’s basically the same outcome as theyvare bothe semi permanent tattoo but the machine lasts a bit longer without the top up x I’m so chuffed , self esteem , ready for the New Year and whatever this chemo chucks at me xx
I had my eyebrows microbladed 2 years ago, they faded really quickly because I have greasy skin and wasn’t going to bother again. I got diagnosed in May and started chemo within 4 weeks of diagnosis, a total whirlwind. My hair started coming out exactly 14 days after my first treatment. I now have no eyebrows and had no time get them microbladed and to be honest everything happened so fast it didn’t occur to me. BUT I still have a very faint taint from when I had them done which has been a godsend when I’m drawing them on now as I know where to draw them. Definitely have them done if you can xx
I would definitely have microblading, its thr best thing I ever did.
You will not regret it and it makes you feel like you are still human x
