I was diagnosed on 30.1.2015. Saw Breast Team last Friday to discuss treatment.
They want me to have chemo first to shrink the tumours - 6 sessions every 3 weeks. Then a month break and surgery - mastectomy of my right breast. After this another month to heal and then radiotherapy.
Meet the Oncologist this Thursday.
I have read on the internet that the cancer I will return. I am just wondering should I insist on a double mastecomy?
Everyone I know thinks I am taking this well. It just seems like a bad dream but I do get the odd day when reality hits home and I am so frightened.
On top of this I am going through a messy divorce …

Hi Jackie
How are you doing? Know the bad dream feeling, think I still feel like this even after surgery. Getting my results on Friday so starting to feel very anxious. My usually reliable ‘gut’ feelings got a knock when I was diagnosed, as I felt sure it was just a harmless thing. Now I can’t rely on them any more. Sending you virtues
hugs. XxFrancine
Oh dyslexic finger, meant virtual hugs, lol.
