Mistake on NHS app

Good morning :two_hearts: I’ve just been through the usual - found lump . Had hospital app. Mamo. Scan. Biopsy results in 2 weeks ( 2 weeks is up totay ) I wasn’t worried thought it was another cyst but wasn’t .

Had a GP call app wed for other tests results and he said shall I delay referal as you have other tests to have at the beast clinic

I said no I had them all on the day ??? Then I said can I also ask you why this is on my NHS APP

He said that was a mistake . They have a new system and the AI has translated my app at the breast clinic to this :woman_facepalming:

The GP has now removed it

So Friday as I’m now concerned I call the Brest clinic and explain all the above

I’m told they have my results but they need discussing in the next meeting and the nurse will be in touch

So I’ve gone from just waiting thinking it’s nothing to overthinking

What a mess

Oh dear that is disappointing that has come up on your app. If you have a cancer diagnosis you should be told face to face. I have read before others who have had blood results come up on the app before a healthcare professional has discussed the implications.

The next meeting will be the multi disciplinary team which consists of oncologists, breast surgeons, pathology, and nurses. They use their wealth of knowledge to determine if treatment is needed and what that might be for you. From my experience, these meetings take place once a week and until it has been discussed they don’t talk to you.

I hope you hear from the breast nurse soon as this is upsetting. You can call the BCN nurse to chat this through on 0808 800 6000 Mon-Fri 9-4 and Sat 9-1. MacMillan have a helpline 7 days a week 8-8 0808 800 0000.

I’m in Wales and have limited access on the app compared to England. I can order repeat prescriptions and only recently see new appointments. I have to fill in a form, show ID just to get a copy of my blood results.

Take care :smiling_face_with_three_hearts:
