Hi @mimi65. Not sure what you meant but I was refered to the breast cancer surgeon. She did all my surgery. The oncologists prescribe the medicines like chemo, but only the surgeons can do the surgery. Happy to have finished the surgery part and ready to move on now. Hope you are well. Thanks x
I’m glad. I must have read it incorrectly, I’m sorry. I see woman that start with a surgeon, not an oncology surgeon like my mother in law. They don’t get the answers or the stats to make informed decisions. That’s all I meant. I’m so sorry if that upset you, that was not my intent. Good luck with your treatment’s
You didn’t upset me @mimi65. I was just unsure what you meant. I do hope your mother in law has had the right treatment now x
Hi @bluesatsuma how are you? I hope you are closer to starting the next stage of your treatment. I provisionally start my radiotherapy on Tuesday, although it is currently still being signed off xx
Hi @tracy1. So glad youre about to do your radiotherapy. I went for a scan on the mystery area abd they made the radiologist do it as it was him who’d brought it up. He couldnt find anything! So back waiting for my oncology referral again. Hoping that it will start early august so I’m going to get my eyebrows microbladed and my teeth checked. Hope the radiotherapy goes well…let me know how you get on xxx
Hi @bluesatsuma that’s such good news but annoying that it caused you needless stress in the meantime.
Good idea about the eyebrows, I’m sure you’ll love them! I know an excellent lady in Nuneaton, if you want her name and insta account I can send it to you.
I will keep in touch. All the very best to you over the next few weeks.
I will let you know if I do start radiotherapy on Tuesday, I’m still awaiting confirmation.
Big hugs xx
@bluesatsuma I’m so sorry you have been through this. Great you had clear margins after your surgery. But this area highlighted by the radiologist was concerning. I’m pleased that your second scan showed nothing. Makes you wonder if they mixed you up with someone else??
Hopefully you won’t have to wait long for the oncology appointment.
Take care
@bluesatsuma hope your appointment comes through soon and things get sorted for you, stay strong. Sending a big hug xx
Hi Helen @hc1973. Thanks for checking in on me. The nurse rang me today. I have to go in for another biopsy, this time a vacumn assisted mammogram guided. They have said i can still see oncology while i wait for the results. Proper fed up. X
I bet you are, I’m sure you just want a final plan of what’s going on. All this waiting for more tests is so hard. I’m glad you are able to see oncology.
Feel free to message me privately at any time if you have any questions re chemo. I really hope they have some final answers for you soon.
I know it feels very hard right now but I’m sure that very soon you will have your plan and feel so much better.
Sending you a hug and lots of strength
Helen x
hi @bluesatsuma Gosh you must be so fed up with it all going on so long not getting proper answers. This time next year we’ll hopefully all be able to look back on this difficult time and it’ll be a distant memory . Take care and let us know how it goes
Dear Bluesatsuma
Thinking of you, wishing you well you have been through so much, and still manage to reply and think of other of this site.
Hopefully you will enjoy a restful summer with the family. Fingers crossed for a good outcome ahead
With the biggest hugs Tili
Hi Bluesatsuma, also wanted to wish you strength and hugs, no wonder you’re fed up with what you’re going through. I hope the biopsy is soon and that once you chat to oncology, that will help. Hope you have someone close by to give you a big hug xx
I wish my arms were long enough to give you that big hug you need. Sometimes just sitting quietly with someone cuddling you is needed to empty your brain and give you some peace and quiet for a while. So I want you to sit down an imagine me hugging you and complete silence and peace. Now look up, can you see that long line of ladies, so long it disappears into the distance? It’s all the other ladies here waiting to hug you too. Remember you are never alone, we are all here for you and we all love you. Can I ask whereabouts you live only I’d be really upset if you lived near me and I could have given you a real hug if I’d known.
Stay strong and please keep posting xxxxx
Hi
What a lovely post, can you give me a hug too, feel absolutely lost and scared after everything finishing. I know Ive not had it as bad as many others but mentally it’s crippling.
Hope your doing well
Xx
Hi @chillout365
You are not alone on this forum and many of us will indeed send you virtual hugs.
Have you signed up for the Moving Forward course available after all your main treatment has finished. I’ve just completed two sessions and met some lovely ladies, with some local to me who we can meet up at a later date, which is something I’ve not had so far.

Our online information hub and Moving Forward journal provide extra ideas and information. Courses run over 2 weeks, with 2 3.5hr sessions. Or trained facilitators and volunteers are there to help. Thinking of you
Thank you for your reply, I’ve booked onto the moving forward course next month.
I have actually just moved house and so trusts, I have my first follow up appointment with my new trust next week in Southampton where I believe there is a maggies centre, I was going to call in there as well while I’m at the hospital.
Very scared about going to a different hospital
and what they may say
Xx
You can have as many hugs as you want. But I only specialise in squishy, long, and all consuming hugs - yes I am a hugger.
Hope everyone can feel somebody hugging them today, love peace and tranquillity to all and @chillout365 heres a special hug for you, all will be well.
