I can’t tell you what a relief it is @Coralmary to hear that you have got your treatment plan and especially to hear that your spirits have been given a boost by the discussion with your oncologist. They can do so much more for secondaries these days. I hope that your wonderful daughter and son continue to make sure that you have everything you need to live a comfortable and content life. If you ever wish to update us from time to time, that would be lovely. Sleep well tonight, dear lady.

I am sorry I have not responded before but I only went back on to the site today. I have been inundated with messages, texts and phone calls but at last I have had five appointments and at last given a diagnose of Secondary Breast Cancer in the bone and given a treatment plan. So many people say that once you have a plan you will feel better. It is true and although I feel anxious still I think the stress level has reduced. I have a large tumour in my femur and am on call as an emergency to have a pin fitted to stabilise the bone . My daughter and I had a very good talk about what I want to happen if I am not able to live on my own . But as I was told that after the operation I should be no different from now and should continue to look after myself and cope with daily life as usual. This has been a relief and I hope this is the situation. I will look Into hospice care for in the future. Your comment about the time with your family will be a time spent with meaningful and quality time and about not losing your dignity strikes a big cord with me. It is exactly what I want and my daughter agrees with me.my granddaughter has special needs and needs a lot of care and attention and I want to spend time with her and her brother in the same way with them having good memories of me. That is my wish and hope. Thank you for your insightful message xx
