Hey @mssteel thanks for checking in! Well I was supposed to have op to remove my new lump last Friday but neutrophils too low so now 26th as long as bloods ok, had to pause abemaciclib in the meantime! So up and down mentally but I’m ok…

Sorry to hear that @loupy. Delays or pauses in treatment can be scary I know. I always feel that flutter if on the morning of chemo they tell me they’re just waiting on the treatment to be authorised because my insert blank is slightly high this week!
Good to hear that your surgery date isn’t too far away from now though and even though time is a factor, I’m always on the side of it’s better to make sure these things are done correctly and safely rather than quickly. And up and down mentally sounds like a pretty normal place to be in under the circumstances.
My liver MRI results came back two days after the scan confirming a benign hemangioma, which sounds similar to your curled up blood vessel, so I was beyond relieved to hear that and after a mad month, I started my new chemo regime on 22nd May, which is going so far going well and I’m enjoying feeling a bit more settled at the moment. Thanks so much for asking!

Little update from me. I had my chemo on 8th June as planned. Felt as expected the first few days then developed a really bad feeling of dizziness / vertigo. I felt like my head was disconnected from my body. Spent 3 days not moving sat on the sofa then went in to see hospital team. They were very good and did loads of tests including head MRI and a CT scan. Anyway lots was ruled out and I was sent away with extra low dose steroids which have eased the issues enough for me to function more like a human. Unfortunately the scans showed a small lesion on my brain - which could be totally nothing - but they need to investigate further. So the journey continues…..

I get the “floating head” feeling on chemo but it tends to come and go for me. When it comes on, I have a little sit down no matter what I’m doing, try to remember to breathe as I often forget to do this and it passes! Hats off to your team for looking into it so quickly and thoroughly and I’m glad the steroids are helping.
So sorry to hear your scans have shown a brain lesion. It’s really worrying to be told there’s something on a major organ when you’re going through cancer treatment but it really could turn out to be absolutely nothing. Best of luck with the investigations into that and I hope the results are positive.
