Thankyou for the add…looking for other ladies general experience and advice, I know ultimately its going to be my decision but its good to hear other points of view.
So initial diagnoses of IDC level 2 in June, followed by WLI and sentinel node biopsy. Clear margin on the tumour and no node involvement. However DCIS was found beyond healthy tissue that the surgeon was unsure of so took some for biopsy. 2nd surgery in August but results show still not cleared. Offered 3rd surgery through original incision to try and clear, if this fails then a mastectomy is the offered option. I’m swaying towards going straight to mastectomy ( this has also been offered , so I dont think they are confident they will get a clearance) with immediate reconstruction ( probably diep but will see what the surgeon says) im at the point I just wanna get rid and get on with my life.
