More live chat sessions

Hi forum members

I have some good news for you. From next year we are planning to expand our Live Chat service. Live Chat is Breast Cancer Care’s online chat facility where you can talk to others in real time. It is a closed session so posts do not appear on the world wide web. Each session has a trained facilitator and specialist nurse who are on hand to point you to sources of help and information and answer questions. But for most people, the chance to talk to others in a similar situation is what counts.

At the moment we are running two sessions: a general one, for anyone affected by breast cancer and one for people with secondary breast cancer, that is cancer which has spread to another part of the body.

We are thinking of running a series on specific areas of concern to people with breast cancer.
Subjects could include:
Side effects of chemotherapy
After treatment has finished – coping in the future
Coping with returning to work after treatment for cancer
Body image and appearance
Coping with family partners and friends
In addition we could run a session for family and friends of people with breast cancer.
These are just suggestions; we really want to hear from you about what you want. Do you like these topics? Are there any you do not think are useful or any you want to add? Can you post in forum feedback with any further ideas or comments?
