More surgery or not?!

I had a lumpectomy 2 weeks ago following the finding of a cancerous tumour. Got results back today. Lymph nodes all clear but found to have LCIS in the healthy tissue removed with tumour. I just want to know if this has happened to anyone else and whether you opted for further surgery? My team suggest no further surgery is needed, and just radiotherapy as planned. I’m unsure. My mum died of breast cancer at 48 (I was diagnosed at 44, nothing to suggest genetic), just interested in thoughts. Thanks x

Hi

Just wondering if there were any other abnormal lumps found as its lcis.Mine was lubular, so had an MRI before surgery.

My tumour was lobular - not sure of anything else?

Thank you - I’m just unsure as to increased risk of further breast cancer if I just go for radiation and tamoxifen. I may ask about MRI too!
