Hi all finally got mri results after 4 weeks and it shows more wear and tear on discs than I shud have for my age (48) and a bone growth near nerve. Could possibly press so go referring me to a neurosurgeon. I was stood in tesco getting the call so was a bit difficult to take in. I think it’s good news as doesn’t sound like cancer related. But could it be ? Can chemo or radio have helped to cause this. And has anyone had anything similar Thanks. Rozita x

I have no idea if it could be connected, but the fact your GP phoned with results would suggest to me its not likely cancer related otherwise im sure he would have requested you make an appointment to discuss the results… Even if they didnt show cancer im surprised he told you over the phone!
Anyway good luck with neuro and hope they dont keep you waiting too long for an appointment.
