I think you’re right about scans. When my ovaries/tubes removed they found bc in them and also surgeon at time took biopsies from peretinium wall which were also confirmed as bc. I had a CT/MRI scan (i was being screened to take part in a trial), but the cancer didn’t show up on peretinium at all, too small I was told.
One year later still not showing up on scans but know its there. Thankfully treatments are working.
jackdp - my bone mets showed up on xray as well as ct scan but not on bone scan at that time. My second bone scan last year did show them up.
hi all
Had my bone scan yesterday and have just had a phone call to say it was all clear. Good news, however he wants to do an mri to determine what is causing the pain as ive had it for quite a whike.
Anyone else been through this and what could he be looking for.
Thanks
Jackie

Woohoo Jackie, excellent news on both your scan results!
The MRI scan is the noisy one… when I had mine it seemed to go on for ever. No idea what bone mets look like on MRI, I had mine done to look for other problems.
Hoping you can get the pain controlled - or that it disappears by itself.
