My mums new chapter

Hi everyone, my mum recently has been diagnosed with BC, waiting for CT scan and Bone scan to be done, so they can stage properly and create a treatment plan.

My mum she did not expect it since she does not have any family history of breast cancer. It was bit of a shock. At the moment they classed it as stage 2 with lymphnodes affected (3 near armpit).

It’s a new journey, for not only for mum but all of us. I am the only child in the family, got great family and friends support, but I do feel overwhelmed and scared at times, we got to know about it yesterday, so it’s still fresh.

My mum has type 2 diabetes aswell so I’m really anxious with chemo. The treatment plan is still in planning as of course waiting for the others tests. But the surgeon said to first have chemo for 5 months and than surgery.

Lump is 5cm and 3 lymph nodes affected. Healthwise my mum she is active doing normal house choures etc, eating normally, no changes on breast wether discharge or inverted nipples.

My anxiety level is now all over, has anyone had or got similar experience. Would love to hear your experience and story. Any tips on how to cope and treatment wise the effects it has

Really appreciated
