my scars

I had double mastectomy 10 weeks ago  .Im finding it really hard to even look at them. I dont feel like a woman anymore. I cry most mornings when i wake up and at night. I am sofa surfing between my daughters as  i am… going through a divorce at the moment .I put on a cheerful face in front of my girls and the grand children they have all been great but worry about me and I  dont want to add more stress to their busy lives

Hi

I had a single mastectomy on November 16 2021 and I have found it so much tougher than I thought it would be emotionally, you have had a bilateral so it’s double the shock.

I was told by someone that it is a form of grief and it’s natural and normal to feel like this.

I know you don’t want to cause stress for your family but they too maybe upset and stressed for all you have been through and hiding it from you.
The nurses at breast cancer now are wonderful and have helped me loads.

I have also used Macmillan and Maggies.

I hope you manage to find some comfort soon xxx
