My wife and triple Negative

Hi guys! … My name is Robbie and my wife has Triple Negative Breast Cancer. She’s a mother of 3 and only 36 years old. She just finished her last round of the Red Devil and will move to the next chemo beginning this week. She’s done amazing!!!

Like most of you… we didn’t quite understand everything until going through it all. So… as a filmmaker… I decided to document the process of her last treatment and how it affects her.

I created this for a few reasons. 1. To look back one day and see how far we’ve come. 2. Maybe… just maybe it will help someone not feel alone.

I hope all of you are well! I’ll be praying for each and every one of you!

Hi The Robbie

Welcome to the forums. I hope you’ll find a lot of useful support here. It’s been an anchor for me for several years now - a lot of us ‘pay it on’. Certainly you’ll find other young women with TNBC and all the issues it raises around dealing with a young family, juggling work with treatment and surgery. Loads more but I’m an old lady free of those worries!

I hope you’re finding documenting your wife’s progress therapeutic. She’s lucky to have such a supportive husband and you’re lucky to have such an upbeat wife - I went through my primary chemo like a someone out of a zombie movie! Looking back, I’m a bit embarrassed but it’s how I managed. I may have trashed four cars in a one-driver accident in a car park but, hey, that’s what insurance is for! I too am triple negative. Originally, I had two tumours, one of each kind - I ticked a lot of boxes. This time, it’s the TN that’s active and, 16 months on, I’m still on the same first line treatment and I’m a safe, if cautious, driver and feeling ok. Never give up hope!

Watching your film, my jaw dropped at the facilities - till the bank card appeared. Thank god for out NHS, struggling but still providing all treatment free of charge. It made me realise how fortunate we are.

Don’t forget to take care of yourself during this horrible time.
