Natural alternative to aromatise inhibitors

Hi ladies I have just been on Tamoxifen for 4 years but have had to discontinue because of an enlarged uterus they are now suggesting that I go on to arimidex or similar which I am really not sure about due to all possible side effects and is it really that effective? Does anyone have any advice regarding an alternative route? Would appreciate your views. I feel like I have enough side effects from treatment already without adding any more x

Hi, I’m 38 and take arimidex and have zoladex injections. I don’t have any side effects. … like you I was very apprehensive about starting. Unfortunately there are no natural alternatives to the fantastic medicine we are so fortunate to have on the NHS. Everyone is different but I know mamy others who have no probs on it also xx

Hello white lily
I took tamox for two years and then switched to arimidex …they work in a very similar way but maybe different side effects …I think I got a bit achy but if you are fit and active …it will be fine.
It’s very important as part of your treatment plan to have them as I don’t know whether you know but they are also used for First line treatment in secondaries too …so have a good proven track record .

Thanks ladies I have appointment with Doc on Friday to discuss further I suppose it depends on how long I will have to take them after four years of tamoxifen x
