Hi all
I had my lumpectomy today. I am a bit sore but nothing too bad. I have noticed my neck is a bit painful on left hand side (same side as op) is this just stiffness as probably been in funny positions today? I can move it fine, just a bit sore.

I couldn’t say for sure but it could be due to positioning for surgery and also for managing your airway for the anaesthetic . Your head needs to be in a certain position and you may have had more pillows than usual or not enough to give you the support you are used to . I took one of my own pillows in because I know this can be a problem. You can wake up with aches and pains in funny places . Hopefully it will settle down in a day or two with some mild pain killers and gentle movement - but get some help if it doesn’t .
