Hi all, I had diagnosed with breast cancer by the mammography done in 5 years ago. It was on the 3rd stage and as a part of treatment, my left breast was removed. So I had undergone a cosmetic breast augmentation surgery with breast implant from a clinic in Mississauga to maintain my aesthetic look. I wonder whether my right breast is also affected by this cancerous cells. My doctor told me that, I need another surgery to remove my right breast. I have a question, should I remove my implants before the breast removal surgery? Is it safe to get an implant for my right breast immediately after the removal? What am I supposed to do? Does anyone here have a similar situation? Kindly share your experience. Thank you in advance.

I think you need to speak to your surgeon or nurse for their advice and recommendations.
I had a single mastectomy with immediate implant reconstruction in September 2014 so yes they can do it at the same time. I don’t understand why you would want to remove the other one?
