hi I’m new and just needed some advice as I don’t know what to do. For about 3 months now I have been having very painful breasts and lumpy breasts all the time mainly in my right breast. I have a lump near my armpit that does not go away with a rash around the left nipple. I am too scared to go to the doctor’s and keep on telling myself that it will go away and that its all to do with my periods.
Hi Kellysarah
Remember that most changes are benign, but you need to go and get this checked out, if you don’t you will continue to worry. The sooner that you do this the better, so get on the phone 1st thing Monday or if you can’t get a freind or relative to do it for you.
Like you i was really anxious about going to the GP and then the bresat clinc, but everyone was great and i found the anxiety and uncertanty that i had been suffering worse than knowing the truth.
I have BC but now i have stated treatment i feel i am fighting back.
I know this is scary but you need to take the first step. The helpline here is really good and it might be worth giving them a call and talking it through with them, they have a wealth of information.
Remember that we are here to offer support whatever the outcome.
Thinking of you

hello Kellysarah
You must go to the doctors on Monday as Lesley has said, 9 out of 10 lumps are benign and your lumps are painful. Breast cancer lumps are not often painful be positive and make that appointment, you will feel so much better afterwards. All the best

Hi Kellysarah
YOU MUST GO TO THE DOCTORS. Hopefully as they have all said above it is nothing to worry about 9 out of 10 aren’t but as you can see from this forum some are and the quicker you get looked at the quicker you know. I put mine off thinking it was just down to pregnancy and that I felt great so nothing could be wrong but how wrong was I. I am not trying to panic you but please check it out and let us know how you get on.
Take care
with love

Do please go to your doctor on monday - the nightmare of worry you’re going through must be awful … whatever the outcome going to get it checked will be far less than your imagination is capable of.
Let us know how you get on

Go to the doctor honey its probably OK but if it isnt then the sooner its seen to the better.Monday phone!
You have been told! Go to the doctor. It is better to know than try living with it and worrying yourself silly. My lump wasn’t painful and I felt fine, but I am so glad I went as leaving it wold have been so much worse.
I do understand my love but you must go and hopefully get your mind put at rest.
Do let us know how you get on
Love

Breast Cancer Care
Hi thank you for your advice it was all a real help to me. I am seeing the doctor on Thursday but I can’t pretend that I am not scared because I really am. But I know I have to get it checked out sooner rather than later even if it turns out to be something simple it will put my mind at rest at last. I have breast cancer in the family so that has been worrying me more so. I will let you all know how it goes and thankyou again for your advice and support.
