Need to tell someone

Hello,
Its been a long time since I posted on here.
I was dx with breast cancer 15 years ago. All lymph nodes were cancerous and I had a lumpectomy, chemo and rads and I’ve been okay.
Fast forward, last week I noticed my right breast at the side where I had the lumpectomy (just near the undetarm scar) was swollen. I already had my 3 year mammogram last Monday, no results yet. I went to my GP the followind day who didn’t think it was anything, but said I’d better go to the breast clinic. I have an appointment next Friday.
I’m not really expecting any answers from the forum, butI just needed to tell someone. Thank you so much for reading. x

Wishing you all the best for next week. Since you have already had a mammogram hopefully they will have some idea whether further investigation is needed or not

Hi Dotty cat , it’s good that they’ve referred you back to the breast clinic. They will be absolutely thorough in their investigation . I know you say you had a lumpectomy so If you haven’t had implants, apparently it’s easier for them to see what’s going on , regarding the mammogram . I hope it’s nothing, but you’re in the right hands. I pray you’re ok

I rang the Mammogram department this afternoon. My results haven’t been sent out yet as they are still under investigation. Gosh, Friday can’t come quick enough.
Sorry to off load again. x

1999 lumpectomy, radio, 10 years on tamoxifen. Fast forward to 2023, felt a lump behind collarbone, new diagnosis in lymph nodes. But the onc dept has so many different treatment in it’s armoury nowadays, I’m on the 4th different treatment now each with different side effects. Stay positive, keep up activities, physical but also social. x
