Is anybody else having (or has had) Neo-Adjuvant hormone therapy with Tamoxifen? If so, I’d like to hear their experiences, as I’m having this to treat Invasive Lobular Cancer before mastectomy in January.

Hi I was also diagnosed with stage 3 Invasive Lobular Carcinoma. I’m nearly ten years free. I have taken Tamoxifen for nine years and I’m aware I have to come off in 2019. After visiting my G.P with some of the side effects normal to Tamoxifen I found coping on my own the most effective. Not sure anyone “Gets it” really unless they have also taken the drug.
The side effects are manageable and I feel the drug has helped me stay Cancer free. I have asked my G.P to reduce my prescription now from 20 mg to 10 mg ready for my ten year halt. Im finding the reduction hard as I’m suddenly tearful and a bit indifferent to everything. Doesn’t seem to be much medical info so thought I would join this forum to see if anyone else has similar issue??
