Nerve ending pain after mastectomy and reconstruction

Hi Guys. Happy and Healthy New Year to everyone.

I am really struggling with nerve ending pain which seems to be never ending (just noticed that nerve is an Anagram of never lol). Just wondered if anybody has any good ideas to reduce the pain, am on pregabalin but does not seem to be helping.

'Sorry to moan

Hi there, I know where you are coming from about the nerve pain, to me it feels like I was being tazered every 30 minutes or so! lol I spoke to my doctor who said there was nothing I could do only time would mend the tissues. It does get better honestly but will take quite some time. xx

Hi Duchess.  When did you have surgery?  I have had persistent ‘phantom nipple’ pains since my radical mx on 26/11!  At times they have taken my breath away, but they are becoming less frequent.  During the day I’m OK as long as I’m busy, but nights can be difficult with no distractions.  I haven’t taken any meds specifically for them, but I do know you’re not moaning, they’re real and painful!

Have you asked your GP or surgeon for an alternative drug?
