'I wonder if there is anyone out there who is also experiencing severe numbness and chronic pain in their feet and legs after taking Tamoxifen…"

Yes! Day 15 on it and getting these symptoms as you have already.

I tried Letrozole for 1 1/2 months and was very drug sensitive to it and had to stop because of side effects.

Letrozole Aromatase Hormone Inhibitor was far too detrimental to my cardiopulmonary limitations amongst other extremely harsh side effects.

1. Extreme exhaustion
2. A-fibrillation
3 Nausea
4. Muscular-joint pain
5. Higher lipid count
6. Raised out of controlled range Blood Glucose A-1C levels previously balanced
7. Extremely wide ranging high to low BP swings. Diastolic plunged many times to under 50 causing dizziness just shy of unconsciousness
8. Angina frequency increased to daily and grew more intense in pain
9. BUN and Creatinine Levels now ranging high off normal.

Now trying Taxoxifen but this will not work out either apparently. Only on a 30 Day Trial.

Stopping tonight at Day 15.

Yes, she’s not on this forum but a friend I met at a local group suffers terribly with her feet caused by Tamoxifen. They are very swollen and painful. She can’t stay on them for any length of time. It’s ruining her life.

Both Letrozole and Tamoxifen are terrible drugs, have stopped altogether, not prepared to suffer terrible side effects for quality of life

Amen to that on the terrible drugs @max26.

My system is much too compromised with cardio and digestive complications to add yet another insult that takes away the quality of life in this time frame GOD has afforded me.

I just posted this to another site that helps others with a variety of physical challenges. This was in reaction to those about to undergo intricate heart procedures.

https://www.inspire.com/groups/heart-bypass-surgery/discussion/quintuple-bypass-and-aortic-valve-replacement-at-the-same-time/

In part to two people who are soliciting encouragement:

I had 10 stents total starting in 2011. My heart was failing and was hospitalized. Scheduled bypass surgery with 5 way in 2018, and did remarkably well getting out of the hospital 2 days early.

It is now 2024, and 3 of my coronary by passes became occluded again even after 3 Cardio-Rehabilitation programs, personal strict exercise, diet, and cardio-meds.

I went on the GOLO diet as well as Time Restricted Eating 7 AM to 3 PM. I lost 70 pounds and managed to now have a controlled range blood glucose level measured by A1C.

I began having ever increasing angina attacks in frequency and intensity.

I got an 11th stent in May of 2024, on the left coronary artery bypass now opened back up to 0% blocked. I had to go to 3 Cardiologists to find my life saver one, Dr. Malcolm Foster, who was willing to attempt the intricate implantation. He went through my femoral artery up into my aortic valve into my left coronary artery into the bypass and opened it from 90% blocked back to 0% blocked.

Now a cancer survivor of 2 operations in January of 2024, on my right breast. Just got a clear MRI June 1, 2024, no cancer recurrence.

I have Diverticulosis and must be extremely diligent with diet, probiotics, psyllium and aditionally several supplements.

Carefully monitoring my blood pressure as I also have POTS.

My diastolic pressure plunges to under 50 and I almost pass out. My blood pressure can go over 200 systolic and 100 diastolic then plunge below normal.

I take each day as it comes praying that GOD, I AM, will take me in my sleep or wake me up fully cured or at least be in serviceable positioning to help others.

His will be done in Heaven and on Earth.

Amen and Amen.

peripheral Neuropathy.
Hi yes i though i had this until i trod on an equine food pellet and realised its just very dry soles of my feet. , However much moisturizer i put on they are dry. I do have to wear Compression sock during the day and this compounds the issue. I did have them checked by my podiatrist, because if it was PN, then you have to inform the DVLA as it can affect you ability to feel your pedals and therefore drive safely, so be certain, and also discuss with you christie consultant. Love and hugs xxx M
