I had original diagnosis of IDC, no nodes, back in 2005. Recurrence 2020, Bone mets to T10, L5 and right rib and sacrum in late 2023 & treated with stereotactic radiotherapy. I take letrozole, calcichew and Denosumab (Xgeva)4 weekly.
New spots to T8, L3 and pelvis. Has anyone had a change in medication when new bone mets appeared? Originally I was ER+ but last spine biopsy showed ER- so Ribociclib/Fulvestrant was not considered appropriate.

rainy day I’m sorry you’ve not had a response yet, I’m sure someone will reach out with some shared experience to your questions. You could also post the ask the nurses or ring tge number on here and speak to a nurse or tge someone like me option if you wanted to. Sorry to hear you’ve had progression. Good that you’ve had a new biopsy. Does that mean that you’re triple negative now? I only ask as that answers the question as to what’s next. That and what other drugs you’ve already had in the past. Do you know if you’ve got the BRCA gene as that also increases treatments available. This list says this but obvs depends on all the factors above. Atezolizumab and Abraxane or pembrolizumab with
Abraxane/paclitaxel or gemcitabine and carboplatin.

Met the oncologist and the plan is to do more stereotactic radiation on the new spots after a pet scan.
Also to stay on letrozole as it might be doing something by stopping recurrence to organs. No plans to do another biopsy which I’m grateful for as the last one was horrible.
I’ve been tested for BRCA and don’t have it but must have an undiscovered gene due to my family history.

That’s good that you don’t need to go on anything new then. Fingers crossed the radio does the job and you can stay just on the letrozole. I know a lady who has just been on that for other 5 years.
