There is a new daytime live chat for women with secondary breast cancer starting on Wednesday 13th January 2010 at 1130-1230. We hope you can join and use this new service.
Breast Cancer Care’s Live Chat sessions take place weekly on our website. They offer a private space where you can talk to others in real time – getting instant responses to messages and talking about issues that are important to you. Each session is professionally facilitated and there’s also a specialist nurse on hand to answer questions and let everyone know about further sources of support. Live chat is easy to access; for full instructions and times of sessions are available follow this link:-
Just a gentle reminder that our first daytime live chat for women with a diagnoses of secondary breast cancer is this morning 11.30 - 12.30. I hope you are able to join us. Please see the link in Sam’s post above.
Hi all - I managed to get onto live chat, there was only about four of us on there, three most of the time! I really only logged on today because I had a question for the nurse, which was answered for me and made me feel a lot better! I’m not sure whether I’ll be logging onto this on a regular basis as I’m back working now and I think I’ll forget/be too busy.
I didnt log on today as had ct scan, so had to leave home by 11.30 and not back til 1.15. I will try and get on this chat, but will probably only manage every 3 weeks after my herceptin day, as i am normally at a play place with my little boy.
Hopefully will catch up with some of you either tuesday night or on a wednesday.

I had a mastectomy in 2001, left breast and have recently been diagnosed with secondary breat cancer in my bones. Just started treatment–anti eostragon anf Zometa, feeling alone.
There are a few of us here with bone mets and on hormone stuff and zometa so you are not alone! I’m currently on zoladex and arimidex and have been on zometa for almost 18 months to try to keep bone mets stable. Have a bit of a search on here for the bone mets/zometa threads.
