New here, and stressing out !

Hi all, 

I’m new and just wondering if anyone can help me , I’m stressing out lol. 

I found a lump in my left inner breast very close to the nipple  about 5 weeks ago and waited it see if it went on its own as I found it just before I was due on my period, but its still there. It is only small maybe about 1cm at most it feels more like half a ball but not round  if you know what I mean, it feels pretty solid and from what I can tell dosen’t move (the skin on top seems to sort of slide over it). It is also quite itchey, I have also noticed that my right breast seems to look bigger as my left side was always larger but now the right is, I also get pain in my left armpit but no lumps that I can feel.

I have a history of breast carncer in my family my mum had ibc ( she was 49 ) and there are other members of the family on my mums side that have had breast cancer.

I went to gp yesterday who referred me to breast clinic and I have an appointment for this week. but stressing out due to the family history. 

just wondered if anyone else had noticed anything similar.

You have done the right thing by going to GP and getting a referral to the breast clinic. Even if it turns out to be something like a cyst, or another non cancer condition, it will put your mind at rest . I can understand you anxiety if you have a family history. Please do not Google, just use this site and the Macmillan site for information and advice.
